DNJFest ‘24: featuring Hip Hop luminaries

What: DNJFest ‘24 – A statewide convergence for NJ dance students and professionals to DANCE, LEARN, NETWORK in celebration of dance and the 50th Anniversary of Hip Hop

Where: Rutgers University, Mason Gross School of the Arts

When: Saturday, February 3, 2024 – 9am-3pm

DNJFest ‘24 gathers hundreds of dancers from around the state for classes, professional development workshops, auditions, community roundtables, and a wellness-centered vendors market.

Highlights Include:

  1. Spotlight Professional Development workshop with Hip Hop visionary Rennie Harris of Rennie Harris University

  2. Two “First Look” Auditions for High School and College dance students to be seen by NJ College/University dance departments and NJ area professional companies

  3. Open-level movement practice workshops in Bollywood, Capoeira, Salsa, and West African Dance & Drumming

  4. Community Roundtables moderated by Black Dance Change Makers and Run DMC’s Darryl McDaniels

  5. Vendors Market featuring services and products that support dance students, professionals, parents, and business owners
