This edition is no different but with the holidays coming, we are making an even stronger urge for you to eat, drink, and shop local. Naomi’s Cafe in Northfield is a family owned and operated establishment that has been in business for 4 years on Tilton Rd. Owned by Melinda Schriver, who has been a lifelong resident of the area, Naomi’s is named after her 10 year old daughter. Melinda, who was a waitress at Borgata for over ten years, needed something that she could call her own and where she could see her kids grow up. Ten year old Naomi has two older siblings, Nyasia (23) and Devante (21). Nyasia is a waitress at Naomi’s while Melinda’s brother in law works as a busser, her uncle washes dishes, her dad picks up supplies, and everyone pulls their end of this family owned local business.
Naomi’s is always full of fun and excitement. Every Sunday from 10-1, a balloon artist provides entertainment in the cafe. Every Friday, you can wear your pajamas to Naomi’s for the “Crazy pajama contest”. This December, dining on Saturdays means breakfast with Santa. Discounts are available for military, firefighters, retired clientele and police officers.
Naomi’s is always up to something new and exciting but what you can depend on every day is fresh ingredients and flavor packed recipes being served during their 7am-3pm hours of operation. Melinda and her family are committed to only using the freshest ingredients in the all homemade dishes being served at Naomi’s.
