Cleaning a house, whether it is seasonal cleaning or just regular biweekly/monthly cleaning, allows the occupants to live in a healthier space. Whether you clean the house yourself (which is time-consuming) or hire a professional cleaning company, it is very important to have a clean domicile.

Bathrooms and kitchens are heavy-traffic areas. Mold and bacteria are living health enemies that can cause allergies and promote asthma. Disinfecting and sanitizing bathrooms and kitchens where there is moisture will eliminate possible dangerous mold. Mold is a serious health issue that is sometimes invisible to the eye.

When deep cleaning stoves (if permissible), pull them away from walls. The same goes for refrigerators. It is not uncommon to discover rodent droppings or, even worse, a carcass. It can be eye-opening for an unsuspecting homeowner. If you do not deep clean, you are not aware of what lurks underneath seemingly immovable objects. It’s common in many houses that furniture and appliances haven’t been moved in a long time.

Deep cleaning addresses every surface seen and unseen: baseboards, door hangs, baseboards, blinds, showers, underneath area rugs, ovens, kitchen cabinets, inside refrigerators where the mystery foods once lurked, et cetera. We all pay attention to our physical health. However, we may be neglecting to thoroughly clean where we sleep, eat, bathe, live and provide a safe environment for our family.

Even if a property is empty and has not been lived in, it is dirtier and unhealthier than you realize. Dust is always present, and it eventually turns into dirt. As homeowners, we often believe that if things are in order, then the home is clean. However, that could be an illusion.

Deep cleaning is a good idea for many reasons besides the health factors. You will feel better physically and mentally knowing that your home is properly cleaned. Clutter has been found to cause people to have difficulty focusing on even the smallest tasks at hand.

A disorderly home can also possibly cause poor sleep. In one study, only 26 percent of the people who participated in the study and described themselves as messy were satisfied with their sleeping habits. Conversely, about twice the amount of people who described their environment as in order said their sleep was very restful. When your bedroom is clean, it can possibly help you get quality sleep. Clean your sleep chamber and change your sheets frequently to promote meaningful rest.

Let’s talk about COVID-19. Having your home cleaned and disinfected frequently will help combat COVID-19. Changing out your air filters regularly also minimizes airborne transmission.

It is cost-saving to keep your house clean all the time instead of facing possible high medical expenses that have a long-term cost. A better health status for you and your family will add to the quality of your lives for years to come. You will definitely realize a difference. I personally have my house cleaned by professionals once a week, and it is a wonderful experience coming home to a sparkling environment.
