About A Meaningful Purpose at Reed’s Farm & Animal Sanctuary

A Meaningful Purpose at Reed’s Farm was founded in 2019 as a non-profit regenerative farm and animal sanctuary located on 80 acres in Egg Harbor Township, NJ. By practicing sustainable organic farming in order to feed the land Reed’s Farm grows food and opportunity. Reed’s Farm harvests the talents and energy of underserved populations and enlist their help and reward their efforts. The sanctuary offers a home for farm animals who will otherwise be sacrificed, provides a hub for interaction and education and in doing so contributes to the healthy growth of our region and our world. The newly opened Market is creating a destination hub for the community for healthy foods, organic produce grown on the farm, a natural and organic herbal line and eco-dyed clothing. The converted pole barn features a coffee, tea and herbal beverage bar alongside a commercial and teaching kitchen producing vegetable-based grab & go items produced by the kitchen with ingredients grown at Reed’s Farm and focused on health-conscious eating. Reed’s Farm programming engages local students in a garden based agricultural education program with a focus on introductory plant science, culinary and nutrition education, environmental sustainability, and mental wellbeing. Classes are modified to serve different age groups and abilities, with a particular emphasis on working with students who are enrolled in supportive classes due to cognitive or behavioral disorders. Year-round, weekly classes are hosted in partnership with local schools and organizations through which Reed’s Farm introduces students to the joy of growing and eating plants. Reed’s Farm also partners with local higher-education institutions to enhance our programming through specialties such as nutrition education. Through your participation in our initiative you will be helping

A Meaningful Purpose at Reed’s Farm to continue to feed, nourish and sustain what’s best in us. “Let’s do better. Let’s be better. Let’s grow better.”
