Community FoodBank of New Jersey to Host Night of 300,000 Meals for Hunger Relief in South Jersey

State’s largest anti-hunger, anti-poverty organization will bring local chefs, businesses, and the South Jersey community together for an unforgettable evening

The Community FoodBank of New Jersey (CFBNJ) is excited to announce that it will hold its 7th year of Night of 300,000 Meals, an evening of fine fare, fun spirits, and live music to raise funds for hunger relief. The event’s goal is to provide 300,000 meals for South Jersey’s more than 65,000 food insecure residents. It will take place at CFBNJ’s Egg Harbor Township location on Thursday, May 1, 2025, from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM and will support a range of essential programs, including nutrition education, diaper and period product distribution, SNAP application assistance, college pantries, and more.
Night of 300,000 Meals will bring together local chefs, businesses, and the community for an evening featuring signature dishes from participating restaurants and specialty cocktails crafted by Tito’s Handmade Vodka at their branded bar. Guests will enjoy live music by the Eddie Morgan Duo and have the opportunity to tour CFBNJ’s Egg Harbor Township warehouse, which can store up to 1.6 million pounds of food, as well as the organization’s Community Assistance Pantry, which serves 1,800 local families each month.
“South Jersey has some of the state’s highest rates of food insecurity – both overall and among children. So, this event is more than just a night of great food and entertainment,” said Elizabeth McCarthy, President & CEO of the Community FoodBank of New Jersey. “It’s a powerful opportunity for our community to come together, learn about the work we’re doing, and make a direct impact on the lives of those in need.”
By attending Night of 300,000 Meals, guests will play a vital role in providing nourishment and hope to those in need across South Jersey.  For more information and to purchase tickets, visit CFBNJ’s website here or contact Torrina Bennett Michael at tbennett-michael@cfbnj.org.
