The Community FoodBank of New Jersey (CFBNJ) and its Women Fighting Hunger are collecting coffee and tea donations for CFBNJ’s Community Assistance Pantry (CAP) in Egg Harbor Township. CAP serves more than 1,800 households each month.
The “Cups for CAP” campaign is seeking boxes of tea, bags of coffee of any size, and coffee cups or pods. Donations must be new and unopened and can be dropped off during business hours at CFBNJ’s front desk, 6735 Black Horse Pike, Egg Harbor Township. Gifts can also be made by Amazon Wish List at cfbnj.org/cupsforcap.
“We understand the importance of that first cup of coffee or tea to help our neighbors start the day,” said Ali Stefanik, Assistant Director of Neighbor Experience at the Community FoodBank of New Jersey. “At CFBNJ’s Community Assistance Pantry, we’re working to afford our neighbors the dignity of shopping as they would in a grocery store – enabling them to choose things like coffee and tea, in addition to nutritious foods.”
The drive runs now through March 31, but donations are welcome year-round. If you have any questions or interested in donating, contact Ali Stefanik at 609-246-0849 or astefanik@cfbnj.org.
Women Fighting Hunger is a volunteer organization that supports the goals and priorities of CFBNJ and provides food, help, and hope through hands-on philanthropy, leadership, and collaboration. Annually, members run a diaper drive in the fall and a period product drive in the spring, in addition to other volunteer projects.
