When Chalk About AC launched in 2015, participants were sent across the 48 blocks of Atlantic City to create art, engage the community, and share positive messages for and about our city. This year we are bringing that city-wide energy back, partnering with 10 local businesses to offer chalk pick-up sites throughout the city and encourage teams to chalk in every ward.

“Chalk About AC invites the community to shift their perspective of Atlantic City, joining together to create art in each of its unique, diverse neighborhoods. At its core, the event is a celebration of the city and its people – uplifting and inspiring each other through chalk art,” shares Kate O’Malley, ACAF operations manager.

Join in on Saturday, October 8th for this free city-wide event! Chalk pick-up begins at 9 am at our community partner sites: Homegrown AC,

OUR Garden AC, Atlantic Cape Worthington Campus, North Beach Mini Golf, Cycles of Life, Noyes Arts Garage of Stockton University, the Bungalow Park mural with Lazan Design, Cozy Cohost, Vagabond, and Tenn Ave Beer Hall. All participants are invited to the Noyes Arts Garage at noon for a pizza party and continued fun at the CROPS Market at Chelsea at 1 pm.

Amanda Auble, Atlantic City resident, artist, and teacher at Fernwood Avenue Middle School shared “Chalk About AC brings people together, and I made several meaningful connections as an artist last year. My design was interactive; I enjoyed laughing with people and encouraging them to pose as Miss America wearing her chalk crown.”
