Celebrate New Years Eve down the Shore

Going Places with Dina Guzzardo

Another year has flown by, and there are many things to celebrate and be thankful for. We made it through COVID stronger than ever and are set for an amazing 2023. It is also time to start planning how we will be celebrating the New Year! Whether you want to party at one of Atlantic City’s hottest nightclubs or would prefer something chilled out in Cape May, there are plenty of options.

Several destinations around the area have something going on to celebrate.

Caesars (2100 Pacific Ave) are known for their wild parties, and New Year’s Eve is usually one of their biggest events of the year. The Wild Wild West Bar will be hosting this year’s hottest party at the Casino, with $4 beers, $5 cocktails, $10 champagne splits, and live entertainment including a DJ and Garden State Radio. There will also be an open bar at Boardwalk Saloon between 9 and 11 pm, including the traditional champagne toast at midnight. Tickets to the event are $70.

Bally’s (1900 Pacific Ave) will be hosting Jerry Blavat and The Intruders in their grand ballroom between 8 and 10 pm. Attendees can enjoy a gourmet dinner and dancing with the legendary DJ.

Tickets must be purchased before December 24th at 8 pm and are $150.

For spectacular views of the city, look no further than the VÜE at the famous Claridge Hotel (123 South Indiana Avenue Rooftop/23rd Floor) renowned for its outdoor decks and 360 views of the city on the 23rd floor. Tickets are $79 and include a 3-hour open bar from 9 pm until midnight, 2 hours of passed appetizers from 9 pm until 11 pm, party favors, a champagne toast at midnight, and music from DJ Dahve from 9 pm until 1 am. This event will sell out, so ensure you purchase your tickets as soon as possible.

The kids do not need to be left out for New Years Eve, with Atlantic City hosting their annual free fireworks event. Fireworks specialist company, Grucci, will once again be lighting up the iconic Atlantic City skyline with their extravagant display of pyrotechnics. The display is scheduled to begin at 9pm at Tropicana beach, so make sure you turn up early to get a prime spot on the boardwalk to watch.

With so many events to choose from, there will be something fun and exciting to do to bring in the New Year. As most events require purchasing tickets in advance, it’s best to make plans as soon as possible!
