Business Buzz
Spark Car Wash recently settled on 6 acres of land at a fabulous location: 6024 Black Horse Pike, between the well-known M&S Produce and Deli, and the Aldi Grocery store. This area is the hottest location on the Pike with great neighbors including the Home Depot, Lowe’s, Chick-fil-A, Canal’s Liquor, Wendy’s, ShopRite, Chickie’s and Pete’s, Dunkin’ and much more.
Spark Car Wash, headquartered in Summit, Union County, started a very successful journey in 2018, with the vision of founder and CEO Kyle Van Decker of seeing clean cars everywhere at a reasonable price.
Spark’s full-service car wash success can be attributed to service, with its state-of-the-art, High Tech Express Tunnel. It utilizes advanced technology for a fast, precise and cost-effective wash, making weekly car washes feasible for customers. Their system is also “green friendly” as it uses less than 25 gallons of filtered water per wash. In addition, biodegradable soaps are used to avoid environmental harm.
Spark Car Wash plans to break ground this fall, with an opening expected in the spring of 2026. Stay tuned for the various membership programs they will be offering.
A neighbor of the new Spark Car Wash is the well-known and very successful M&S Produce, which dates back to 1991, but has had new owners as of July 29 in Dipen and Jalpa Patel.
M&S produce actually started at 6024 Black Horse Pike, the site where Spark Car Wash will be located, when it was a little, 2,000-square-foot building.
The business was begun by Michael Riley and Sam Feinstien. It became so popular at the original location that they built a big, beautiful 9,000-square-foot, full-service produce and deli business, which became a must-stop along the Black Horse Pike.
The business, located at 6020 Black Horse Pike, was sold to Drew Parra in 2006, who successfully ran and expanded the business for 16 years. It was sold again in 2022 and operated until July when the Patels took it over.
Dipen and Jalpa have great plans to upgrade the store. Dipen had a successful career in IT, and they both have a home care business. They intend to expand M&S Produce and support local farmers.
The store will be reorganized to offer a more convenient experience for their customers. Dipen is also in the process of determining what specialty products would complement the existing merchandise. Eventually the goal is to offer delicious deli sandwiches. Dipen and Jalpa are proud of the improvements they have already completed in four short weeks, but it is only a start.
They pride themselves on offering excellent quality products at reasonable prices, and they already have a reputation for being friendly to customers and employees who appreciate their sincere, genuine care.
It will be a pleasure to watch Dipen and Jalpa take M&S Produce to a whole new level.
