The Atlantic City Marathon Race Series celebrated a successful start to the summer season with the Bungalow Beach Boardwalk 5 Miler on Saturday, June 1, 2024. Runners were greeted with perfect weather, enhancing the experience for participants and spectators alike.
The event featured a unique course that took runners from the historic boardwalk to a brief stretch of beach running, culminating at Bungalow Beach, the Ibiza-style beach bar located on California Ave. on the beach. With over 700 runners and their friends and family from across the country, the race was a vibrant demonstration of community spirit and athletic excellence.
Genia Bittner, Atlantic City Marathon Race Series Director, remarked, “We are thrilled with the turnout and the enthusiasm of all our participants. The beautiful weather, energetic volunteers from the community, and generous support of Bungalow Beach and the Biergarten where we hosted Packet Pick Up for runners, made this an unforgettable event.”

Awards were presented to the top three male and female finishers overall and in various age categories at a celebratory ceremony held at 10 am at Bungalow Beach.
Dino Dounoulis, of Bungalow Beach Atlantic City, expressed his excitement about hosting the event: “Kicking off the summer season with the Bungalow Beach Boardwalk 5 Miler is always a highlight for us. It’s wonderful to see so many people come together to enjoy our venue and the lively atmosphere.
