Members of the Boys & Girls Club of Atlantic City got a head start on back-to-school shopping during a special event at Kohl’s in Mays Landing. Thanks to a grant provided by Kohl’s, a long-time national partner of the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, club members and their families were able to choose items at no cost. This shopping spree is part of a broader initiative by Kohl’s to support Boys & Girls Clubs across the country, helping kids and teens prepare for the new school year.
“We are deeply grateful to Kohl’s for their continued generosity and support, which makes events like this possible,” said Brian Little, Acting CEO, Boys & Girls Club of Atlantic City. “This shopping spree not only helps our students feel confident and prepared for school, but it also brings immense relief to their families. The smiles and gratitude from our kids truly reflect the positive impact this grant has had on our community.”
Members were chosen to participate in the shopping spree based on their 21st Century Community Learning Centers Summer Camp Program at the Boys & Girls Club of Atlantic City great attendance, participation and behavior. There were representatives from each of the three Atlantic City club locations: Chelsea, Drexel and the Teen Center.
