Beth Israel celebrates Hanukkah with ‘Love, Light, Latkes’

Children had a chance to make their own Hanukkah slime.

It was a night filled with families, friends, and festivities at Beth Israel’s Hanukkah celebration, “Love, Light Latkes,” on Sunday, Dec. 11. Beth Israel’s newest group, Kehilah Love, organized the party that featured specialty holiday food, games, and a magic show.

The Maccabee macaroni and cheese bar included toppings that ranged from bread crumbs to different flavored potato chips, and cheeses.

There was a specialty cocktail bar, a Maccabees mac ‘n cheese bar, latke bar, Sufganiyot “donut” station, hot cocoa bar, and dreidel drinks station. Children had a chance to decorate Hanukkah gingerbread houses and make Hanukkah slime. Families also had a chance to make their own Hanukkah Lego creations.

Festive sweaters and smiles were part of the celebration.
