The Emma C. Attales Middle School Drama Club will present its production of Disney’s ‘Frozen Jr.’ at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, Feb. 22 and 23 in the Marsh Cafeteria, 800 Irelan Ave.
The spectacular 60-minute musical, designed for middle school-aged performers, is based on the 2013 Disney film and the 2018 Broadway adaptation. The cast includes more than 40 students led by co-directors Ms. Elena Castillo and Mrs. Michele Miller. Stage Crew is lead by Mrs. Christina King and set designer is Mrs. Carly Broomhead.
Audiences of all ages will enjoy this fanciful and heartwarming stage adaptation of the top-grossing animated film of all time! Join Anna, Elsa, and all of your favorite characters as they embark on an epic, ice-filled journey of self-discovery, camaraderie, and the real meaning of true love.
Adapted for young performers, this musical includes favorite Frozen songs such as “Love Is an Open Door,” “Do You Want to Build a Snowman?,” and “Let It Go,” as well as wonderful new songs from the Broadway production.
This year’s production features 8th-Graders Anastasia Netelkos-Hogan as Anna, Julianna Birkbeck as Elsa, and Aidan Poletis as Kristoff, 6th-Grader Jackson Gorman as Sven, and 7th-Grader Onalee Wells as the lovable snowman, Olaf.
Doors open at 6 p.m. both nights. All attendees MUST enter through the Attales Main Entrance (#1) or the Art Room Doors (#20). Parking is available in both the front (Connecticut Avenue entrance) and back (Pitney Road entrance) of the school.
Tickets will be available for purchase at the door only. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for students. There will also be refreshments and other items available for purchase.
Disney’s Frozen Jr. is presented through special arrangement with and all materials are provided by Music Theatre International.
