The holiday season is officially here, and the City of Atlantic City will be hosting several holiday-related events at City Hall this month.
Holiday Bazaar
Looking to check some items off your holiday shopping list? On Friday, December 8th from 9:00am – 3:00pm, the Mayor’s Office of Special Events will present a Holiday Bazaar inside the City Hall lobby. Area vendors will be on hand selling clothing items, gift baskets, stocking stuffers and much more. The event is open to the public. Food Box Giveaway
After a successful Food Box Giveaway at City Hall just before Thanksgiving that saw more than 900 turkeys and food boxes distributed to Atlantic City residents, the Atlantic City Senior Services department is organizing a second Holiday Food Box giveaway for residents on Thursday, December 21st at 11:00am in the City Hall Courtyard. Registration is required in advance and will be done in person in the City Hall lobby on weekdays from 10:00am – 2:00pm beginning Tuesday, December 12th until Wednesday, December 20th. There will be no phone or day-of-event registration for this event. Questions can be directed to the Senior Services department at 609-347-5458.
Winter Coat Drive
Tis the season of giving, and on Thursday, December 21st, the Atlantic City Health and Human Services department is holding a Coat Drive from 12:00pm – 3:00pm in the City Hall Courtyard. The city is currently accepting donations to the drive in the form of fairly new or gently used men’s and women’s coats. They can be dropped off in the City Hall lobby now through Wednesday, December 20th. We ask that donated coats be clean and ready to wear. The city will also be collecting new hats, gloves and socks as part of this drive. Questions can be directed to the Health and Human Services department at 609-347-5437.
On Saturday, December 2nd the city hosted a successful Winter Wonderland Parade through Atlantic City, with actor Kelsey Grammer serving as the Grand Marshal. This was part of the official opening weekend of the Atlantic City Tinseltown Holiday Experience.
