Atlantic City Fire Department Graduates 11 Recruits

The Atlantic City Fire Department held a Graduation Ceremony for eleven recruits who completed their twelve weeks of training at the Anthony ‘Tony’ Canale Fire Training Center in Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey. 

The eleven graduates are Naquan Blakeley, Matthew Branco, Drew Carpenter, Harlin Colon, Matthew Compton, Alexis Gibson, Trent Manera, Shane Morgan, Kirsten Pruitt, Patrick Ruane, and Shay Steele, Jr. The Fire Academy Graduation was held at City Hall Council Chambers in Atlantic City. City of Atlantic City Mayor Marty Small, Sr. administered the oath of office. Mayor Small, Atlantic City Fire Chief Scott Evans and New Jersey Department of Community Affairs (DCA) State Monitor Wes Swain spoke during the ceremony. Also, as part of the ceremony, the recruits were presented their badges, certificates and assignments. 

In March, the Atlantic City Fire Department graduated 25 recruits who were among 33 Atlantic County Fire Academy graduates. With the newest additions, the Atlantic City Fire Department currently has 196 members on staff.
