CBB has hosted multiple free community events and concerts throughout the summer along with supporting sponsors such as Comcast, the Atlantic City Community Fund and the New Jersey State Council on the Arts. “We are honored to present to the public the Wonderful Tim Warfield and his Organ Band, CBB had the pleasure to present Tim to our audience in 2010 at Kennedy Plaza Stage, come join us for some wonderful jazz music” says Henrietta Shelton.

Former Grammy nominee, Tim Warfield is prepared to jam in the park and give the people of Atlantic City a great show. CBB will end off the Summer on a high note in the park with the veteran saxophonist, Assistant Professor and Coordinator of the Jazz Masters of Music Graduate Program at Temple University, who played with the likes of Dizzy Gillespie, Isaac Hayes and Christian McBride.

The event is free to everyone and has been created to continue to generate awareness of youth programs offered through Chicken Bone Beach Historical Foundation Inc. and other services provided by the organization.

Chicken Bone Beach’s mission statement is to create pride in the city’s Black heritage and promote family values and unity in Atlantic County. It educates local youth, community members, and tourists to the original American art form–and to celebrate the rich and dynamic African American history during the era of “Chicken Bone Beach,” when Black and Brown residents could only use a single beach in Atlantic City and residents gave it this nickname.

“The turn out and energy has been great all summer. At the last concert people were dancing in the park, enjoying the amazing sounds and connecting with other people in their community.” says CBB Program Director, Maurice Hayman.
