Mark your calendar for the American Cancer Society Relay for Life of Atlantic County at the Police Activities League, 2542 Ridge Ave., Egg Harbor Twp., NJ. The family-friendly event will take place from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, May 18, 2024.
This year’s theme is “Team Up for a Cure.” Participants will pay tribute to their favorite sports teams by decorating their fundraising tables. Cancer survivors are the guests of honor. They along with their caregivers will be featured at the opening ceremonies, in Survivor and Caregiver Laps around the track, and with a complimentary lunch reception.
In addition, there will be food trucks, vendors, and activities for all ages. Activities include trivia, Zumba, a wing eating contest, themed laps, and more. A special highlight is the Luminaria candlelight ceremony to honor survivors and to remember those lost to cancer. Luminaria candles line the track with names and pictures of loved ones. A full schedule of activities will be posted closer to the event at RelayforLife.org/AtlanticCountyNJ.
Relay for Life is open to anyone who wants to participate. Volunteers of all ages are welcome.
