The Atlantic County Institute of Technology (ACIT) proudly announces that its automotive training program has achieved the Master Automobile Service Technology Accreditation. This notable accreditation is the highest level of recognition provided by the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) and is administrated by the ASE Education Foundation.
The ASE Education Foundation has thoroughly evaluated and granted ACIT’s automotive program this esteemed accreditation for meeting the national standards of excellence in areas such as instruction, facilities, and equipment.
“This accreditation marks a significant milestone for ACIT and underscores our commitment to providing the highest quality education to our students,” said Joseph Potkay, Principal of ACIT. “Our work with the ASE Education Foundation ensures that our programming meets strict industry standards, preparing our students for successful careers and servicing the needs of our community. Additionally, we must acknowledge the invaluable contribution of Curtis Silver, our Auto Technology Teacher and ASE Master Technician, in grooming the future cohort of auto technology professionals.”
Michael Coley, President of the ASE Education Foundation, emphasized the program’s impact, saying, “This is great news for automotive-minded young people and their parents. It guarantees that graduates of ACIT’s automotive program will possess the skills needed to excel as employable entry-level technicians. The motoring public will also benefit from the enhanced skills these young professionals will bring to the industry.”
The accreditation process included an in-depth self-evaluation of the program by the school and a review by an ASE Education Foundation evaluation team, who apply industry-recognized standards to determine the program’s eligibility for accreditation.
