Weather with Noreaster Nick
Spring has sprung! I know everyone out there must be extremely happy about that. You know something? Looking back at the winter as a whole it wasn’t too bad. My forecast was close, but not close enough. I definitely thought we’d get in on a little more snow than what ultimately fell. It was the winter that “almost” was. Everything I wanted to line up, did, but unfortunately it was a classic example of too little too late. We had a few good blasts of cold, but the southern jet was not active enough to deliver the moisture at the right time. No big snow storms. We nickeled and dimed our way to 18”.
Oh well, it’s behind us now. We look ahead to brighter and warmer times, right? A little chilly for Saturday then warmer on Sunday. Next week could get a little hairy. Tuesday and Wednesday sees a period of time that could bring some interesting weather in the form of a rain to wintry mix for us, snow well north. I want to keep an eye on this. While the window for any sort of significant snow has pretty much closed, I HAVE seen some pretty gnarly things happen in March. Never rule anything out!
I do believe we will get in on an actual spring this year!
