The Legacy of New Orleans Comes to the Atlantic City Boardwalk in a Free Show June 26

The legacy of New Orleans comes to the Atlantic City Boardwalk in a free show June 26

There has been no greater force in  New Orleans funk and contemporary rhythm and blues then the Meters and the Neville Brothers. The living legacy of that family dynasty  Ivan Neville will perform with Dumpstaphunk on Wednesday, June 26 as Mardi Gras AC continues Wednesday night concerts on Kennedy Plaza, Atlantic City Boardwalk.

Although he is the son of Aaron Neville he is the great funky keyboard player and singer modeled after his uncle Art “Papa Funk“ Neville, the leader of the Neville Brothers and The Meters.

Dumpsterphunk includes two of the greatest performers in New Orleans funk today, “Dangerous Nick” Daniels on bass and beautiful falsetto  oh goals and Tony Hall on lead vocals, bass and guitar, as well as Ian Neville, the son of Art Neville.

For people who love funk and rhythm and blues this is an extraordinary delight to be able to enjoy one of the greatest funk bands in the world, a part of New Orleans culture having brought the Mardi Gras and the Mardi Gras Indians into the world of contemporary electric funk music.

Recently awarded songwriter of the past three decades in New Orleans for his phenomenal legacy of music, Ivan Neville will be appearing with the Rolling Stones at their rescheduled concert in New Orleans later this summer.

See them for free at a show starting 7 PM next Wednesday, June 26, 2019 as Tony Mart Presents Mardi Gras AC, the CRDA Summer Concert Series live and free at Kennedy Plaza on the Boardwalk in Atlantic City.
