The unveiling of the newly renovated lobby and ribbon cutting took place Tuesday July 24 for the “Atlantic City Experience” at Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall. The $10 million lobby renovations include the replacement of escalators, the addition of staircases, interactive video boards, silhouettes and a historical showcase. The Atlantic City Experience, curated by the Atlantic City Free Public Library, provides an interactive timeline with movable partitions, a mini theater with video clips highlighting key dates in the city’s history and several historic display cases and touch screens with hundreds of historical images of Atlantic City. The “Atlantic City Experience” is now open to the public, Monday thru Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
