The Parrish family

The Parrish family, who hail from Galloway – Parents John and Judy with children, Jack (16 years old) Jolie (15 years old and Jayce (12 years old) play an
integral part in this ambitious ‘Shakespeare in the Pocket Park’ production. Judy Privitera-Parrish portrays Maria, the coquettish lady-in-waiting, to the countess Olivia. Judy’s husband, John is assisting with props – helping to create an aura of ‘long-ago’ with his artistic vision. Jack Parrish who will be a junior at ACIT used his passion for Star Wars to come up with creative stage combat moves. He rehearsed the various actors involved in the fight scenes with the finesse of an adult artist. Jolie Parrish, who will also attend ACIT as a junior in the fall, returns to South Jersey Players as an assistant stage manager for a third season. Her backstage presence exudes professionalism. She assists changing sets, helping with sound, and cuing actors, under the supervision of tech director, Jim Erickson. Jayce also returns to SJP’s outdoor venue for a third season. In the past, she has helped tell the stories of original plays with her own version of humor as the ‘sign girl’.

For this production, Jayce will be woven into Twelfth Night, as the Love mascot, Cupid. Having family involvement at this level, suggest the true meaning of Community Theater.
