Sheriff Scheffler Promotes Two

Sheriff Eric Scheffler is pleased to announce the promotions of two of his employees.  On January 2, 2020, Detective Jacob Feinberg was promoted to the rank of sergeant.  Feinberg, age 34, began his career as a corrections officer in 2009 and transferred to the Sheriff’s Office in 2011 where he worked in the Operations Division for three years.  In 2014 he was assigned to the Warrants Division as a Detective where he was responsible for locating and apprehending persons who failed to appear in Superior Court on indictable charges.   He served in this capacity until his recent promotion.  Sgt. Feinberg resides in Egg Harbor Township with his wife.

On January 6, 2020, Communications Supervisor Israel Palow was promoted to the rank of Chief Telecommunicator.  Palow, age 41, began his career with the Sheriff’s Office in 2002 when he was hired as a Telecommunicator Trainee.   He work his way up to full-time and was named supervisor in 2011, a position he has held until his recent promotion.   Chief Palow resides in Absecon with his wife and four children.

Sheriff Scheffler said he could not be prouder of the two.  “They give a 100 percent every day they come to work and are dedicated to providing the best possible service to our County and the citizens we serve,” Scheffler stated.   The new positions take effect immediately.
