Steel Pier, Atlantic City, N.J. The iconic Steel Pier, which has been Atlantic City’s go-to destination for family friendly fun and entertainment for over 100 years, will be introducing exciting new entertainment and dining fare this June. Currently, Steel Pier is open Friday at 4 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday at 12 p.m. Beginning June 11, Steel Pier will be open every day and it’s getting ready for a spectacular season!
Jetting out more than 1,000 feet over the majestic Atlantic Ocean, Steel Pier is known for its dramatic views, amusements, rides and array of boardwalk and pub food options. However, beginning on June 11 from 8pm to 11pm., Steel Pier will go back to its own “glory Days” as the premier music venue, featuring the E-Street Shuffle, the popular Bruce Springsteen tribute band from Asbury Park. This free, family friendly three-hour concert will rock the Ocean Reef Bar at the back of the pier.
This is the first in a series of summer events happening at the Ocean Reef Bar: Live music will be offered Tuesday and Wednesday nights and all-day Saturday and Sunday during the summer. One of the Boardwalk’s best kept secrets, Ocean Reef is the only bar in Atlantic City with seating over the ocean, offering sweeping views to those who want to come enjoy it while savoring their favorite cocktails and frozen drinks.
Steel Pier also will be introducing new dining fare and is thrilled to announce Chef Alex has joined the Steel Pier team. New menus will be announced in the coming weeks, but first up is fresh seafood, including crab cakes, fried shrimp and even lobster. Prices are competitive and guests are already giving the new menu items 5 stars! The seafood venue is located on the first level in the heart of Kiddieland.
Even more exciting is that every Wednesday, starting June 16, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. is Steel Pier’s All You Can Eat Seafood Fest and it’s only $39.95 per person (plus tax and gratuity) Each week Chef Alex will choose which seafood to feature, along with some great beer specials.
Other special themed food nights will also be featured at the Ocean Reef Bar. Every weekend, Steel Pier will offer an oyster bar and raw bar. On Tuesday nights, the Pier will host Tito’s Backyard BBQ.
The AC Axe and Pub located at the Pier’s main extrance remains one of the Pier’s most popular attractions. A great spot for group events, date night, Girls Night or those with a competitive side, the AC Axe Pub features a full bar and is currently open Friday to Sunday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Reservations are recommended.
