Police Officers in Atlantic County Endorse Joe “Tokyo” O’Donoghue for Sheriff

The New Jersey PBA Cape Atlantic conference which represents the thousands of current and former law enforcement officers across Atlantic and Cape May County have endorsed Joe “Tokyo” O’Donoghue for Atlantic County Sheriff.

“As a police officer for my entire adult life, to have the PBA endorse me is a true honor. I’m honored by the men and women who put on a uniform and a badge to protect our communities each day. Each night I pray for these officers who have put their lives on the line to keep us safe. When I’m elected as your Sheriff in Atlantic County I will do whatever it takes to support them.” O’Donoghue said.

Joseph “Tokyo” O’Donoghue is a law enforcement professional with over 40 years of experience in policing across Atlantic County. When elected Sheriff Joe “Tokyo” O’Donoghue plans to refocus the Atlantic County Sheriff’s Department back to its core mission of supporting local police departments and keeping our communities safe.

“On day one we will put the focus back on working warrants, augmenting local investigations and being a resource for police agencies across Atlantic County.” O’Donoghue said. “It’s time to get back to real police work.”

O’Donoghue is happy to receive all the support of police officers across Atlantic County, especially the Atlantic City Police Department. “The officers on the street know that Eric Sheffler is not an effective leader, and they want a change. In Atlantic City, the officers know that before he retired abruptly to run for Sheriff Eric Sheffler was not known as a very effective police officer. It’s time for him to go.” O’Donoghue said.
