Monarch Butterflies Make a Rest Stop

Tens of thousands of monarch butterflies are migrating south to Mexico for the winter, but not before a brief stop at the southern tip of the state at Cape May Point. The butterflies will bask in the sunlight before taking off in flight across the Deleware Bay. The Cape May Bird Observatory is a leader in Monarch migration research, studying and tagging these butterflies which are engaged in their southward migration.
