Augostina Mallous was crowned Miss New Jersey 2022 on Saturday, June 25, at Resorts Casino Hotel in Atlantic City.
Mallous, a Hofstra University student, was the second runner-up in last year’s competition. She entered this year as Miss Southern Maritime.
As Miss New Jersey, Mallous was awarded a $19,000 scholarship.
As Miss New Jersey, she will continue to promote her initiative to prevent human trafficking.
