An incredible amount of talent and love goes into each edition of Shore Local Newsmagazine. Our “Meet The Team” series was created to share the stories behind the Shore Local storytellers. Each week, we will introduce you to one member of the Shore Local team as we honor and celebrate every individual that makes Shore Local possible.
Dinar Guzzardo, author of the column Going Places with Dina Guzzardo, has worked in sales her entire career. While she has spent several years of her life working in timeshare and mortgage brokerage, she has always been led back to event coordinating. After the 2007 financial crisis, Dina left the mortgage world to launch her own business, Dina Media Group.
The Mercato Market at the Atlantic City race course was the highly regarded event that launched Guzzardo’s career in event coordinating. Featuring over 100 vendors, a food truck village, cigar lounge, and live entertainment, the Mercato Market drew attendees by the thousands.
Since then, Guzzardo has gone on to organize dozens of farmers markets including the 13-week Shore Medical Center Outdoor Market and Craft Fair and the Somers Point Fall Market. Other events coordinated by Dina Media Group include The Parrot Head Festival in Wildwood, Wild Fest British Invasion, and the launch event for Lucky Snake’s at Showboat.
Dina’s attention to detail and in-depth knowledge of the entertainment industry has been a winning formula for Guzzardo in her career as an event planner and coordinator.
Dina began writing for Shore Local Newsmagazine in 2018. Her regular column features local events and happenings throughout the Jersey Shore from food festivals to concerts and everywhere in between.
“I have so much respect and admiration for other events and event planners. I know how much work goes into it. Shore Local is one of the few publications that is strictly for locals. I am proud to write for them,” shares Guzzardo.
