Marine Mammal Stranding Center Hosts its 3rd Annual Ales for Whales Event Hosted at Hidden Sands Brewery in EHT

On Thursday, January 24 from 6 to 9 PM the Marine mammal stranding Center will host its 3rd annual Ales for Whales event at the new and trendy Hidden Sands brewery located at 6754 Washington Avenue Unit B Egg Harbor Township,
This must attend event has gained popularity and momentum year after year with last year having over 300 attendees who came out for an entertaining evening of food, drinks, and fun and of course to show their support for this very worthy cause. The very reasonable ticket price of only $35 in advance and $40 at the door includes unlimited craft beer and food from 26 of our areas most delicious eateries.
Marine Mammal Stranding Center’s mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and release marine mammals and sea turtles that are in distress due to injury or illness. The Marine Mammal Stranding Center has responded to over 5,100 strandings of whales, dolphins, seals and sea turtles that have washed ashore, for over 40 years throughout New Jersey. In 2018 MMSC responded to over 100 seal strandings and of those strandings were able to rehabilitate and safely release 71.4% back to their natural habitat. Each year MMSC responds to hundreds of strandings from dolphin, whales, porpoise, sea turtles, and seals and the founders Robert Schoelkopf and Sheila Dean, along with a small paid staff and volunteers have dedicated their lives to savings these helpless animals that get washed up along our shorelines. Without their passion and dedication, many of these sea mammals would surely die. Events like Ales for Whales allow this very worthy organization to raise enough funds to continue their work saving our sea life. MMSC also strives to educate the public by offering outreach programs as well as internships for college students and summer camps for children.
Hidden Sands Brewery, the location that Ales for Whales will be hosted, is a hidden gem located in a newly renovated warehouse in EHT. This marvelous brewery houses multiple bars on multiple levels with fantastic views of the entire brewery including the very impressive army of stainless steel brew kettles. Adjourned in rich woods and stainless steel, the only thing better about this place is the beer itself. Hidden Sands takes locally brewed craft beer to a whole new level. The secret is in the water they use. Hidden Sands dug deep, 800 feet deep to be exact, to source the purest water in our area. In addition, all Hidden Sands brews are made with quality, locally sourced ingredients. Hidden Sands brewery delivers exceptionally well-crafted beer, sure to please the beer enthusiast and novice alike.
