Holiday Events at the Flanders Hotel

Want to know one of the best places to catch some holiday spirit this season? Ocean City! Whenever I stroll along Asbury Avenue during the day or evening, I can’t help but smile. The streetlights are decorated and the town comes back to life in a calmer, more peaceful way than over the summer. If you are looking for some holiday cheer this season, make sure to check out the festive events at The Flanders Hotel.
The Flanders Hotel was built in 1923 and is listed on the National Registry of Historical Places. Located at 11th Street and the boardwalk, the hotel has been recognized as the most
famous landmark in Ocean City. The hotel has a charming ambiance, made even more so during this holiday season with elaborate and elegant decorations. You do not need to be a hotel guest to enjoy the fun events happening during this special time of the year.
If your kids can’t get enough of Santa, make sure to bring them to breakfast with Santa on December 16th at 10:00 am. Santa will be joined by two of his favorite elves, Holly and Jolly. There will be a sumptuous breakfast buffet to enjoy as well as pictures with Santa, games, crafts, singing and dancing to music of the season. What child (and adult) wouldn’t enjoy that? Live music will fill the room and everyone will be receiving a gift. The cost is $29 per person and reservations are required. Kids 2 and under are free.
Holiday high tea is a fun reason to get dressed up and snack on fancy sandwiches, yes please! The next one will be held on December 16th at 1:00 pm. The menu sounds divine with savories that include spinach, tomato & feta quiche, sandwiches which include lump crab cake with mango aioli and desserts that include salted caramel cheesecake. Live music will entertain the guests and everyone receives a gift. The cost is $39.95 per person and reservations are required.
If you have not experienced First Night in Ocean City, make sure to attend this year. It’s a very exciting night of family-friendly entertainment all around Ocean City. We went several years ago and we had so much fun. The Flanders Hotel will be offering a delicious First Night Dinner from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm which includes an appetizer, entrée and dessert. You can choose from such delicious items such as jumbo shrimp cocktail, crab bisque, filet mignon, jumbo lump crab cakes and chocolate molten lava cake. I always feel that the year should be ended with a special dinner and this meal would definitely fit that bill. The cost is $44.95 for adults and $18.95 for children 10 and under.
If you end the year on a delicious note, why not start the new one that way too? The Flanders Hotel will be offering a New Year’s Day breakfast buffet from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm. You can get everything from cheese blintzes to brioche French toast. The cost is $19.95 for adults and $12.95 for children 12 and under.
Ocean City is beautiful this time of year and oneof the best places for holiday shopping.
