Named Top Fundraiser of 2021 Dragon Boat Festival
Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City participated in the 2021 Gilda’s Club of South Jersey Dragon Boat Festival on Sunday, July 11 where their team “Rockin’ Rowers” was named Top Fundraiser, raising over $17,000 for the 501(c)3 non-profit.
In addition to team member fundraising and event sponsorship, Hard Rock Atlantic City initiated a silent auction at the event to generate additional revenue for the charity, which included two tickets to see Guns N’ Roses, an autographed Tim McGraw guitar and an autographed Beach Boys surfboard. Team Members alone raised over $12,000 for the event.
The Dragon Boat Festival had several local participants that competed in the races, coupled by a flower ceremony for loved ones touched by cancer, entertainment, local food, vendors, and more.
Gilda’s Club of South Jersey provides free programs for men, women, teens, and children impacted by cancer. Founded in memory of comedienne Gilda Radner, Gilda’s Club South Jersey receives no federal, state, or municipal funding and relies on the generosity of the public, corporate and foundation support, and events to provide this comprehensive free program to our community.
