Fall Fest Food Truck and Music Festival Returns to Wildwood

Going Places with Dina Guzzardo

On September 21st from 11am to 4pm,  Fall Fest Food Truck and Music Festival returns to Fox Park, Wildwood for its second year in a row. This years’ Fall Fest will feature live music all day long from local favorites, Animal House Band and Arsenal NJ. Both bands have huge followings in our area and always deliver a good time. Also, be sure to come hungry because there will be yummy cuisine from some of our areas most popular food trucks. From authentic empanadas to delicious golden fried seafood platters, chicken, pork roll, and Philly cheesesteaks, this years’ mouthwatering menus will offer a selection of delicious delights that offer something for everyone.

Like many of the music festivals held in Fox Park, people in the know bring their beach chairs at the start of the day to make sure they get prime seating near the stage, they then visit the vendors for a spot of lunch and of course some retail therapy. There will be a selection of vendors selling quality items.  Need some new fall clothes for the family but don’t want to spend a fortune? No worries, there will be a great selection of garments from hoodies to sweatpants starting at only four dollars.  There will also be beautiful jewelry, designer handbags and accessories, artisan jellies and jams, CBD Oil, Tupperware and so much more. If you love to shop, this is the perfect opportunity.

To kick off the festivities, Dina Media Group is once again honored to welcome a very special guest, Dani Brown, who will be singing our National Anthem. Dani was diagnosed with Autism at the age of three and was told by medical professionals she would probably never speak. Well, Dani defied her doctors and not only went on to speak, but she has become a very talented vocalist who also writes her own music. If you look up the word prodigy in the dictionary, no doubt there will be a picture of 16 year old Dani Brown right next to the definition. Dani sung the National Anthem at the most recent Wildwood Block Party where she moved the crowd to tears. This young lady is truly amazing and her singing our National Anthem is a good reason to arrive early.

As many of you know, Mayor Troiano, The Great City of Wildwood, and Dina Media Group have the utmost respect for our veterans and troops. One of our sponsors for Fall Fest is Crown Royal, who has created an initiative called “The Purple Bag Project.”  Crown Royal believes it’s not what you have, it’s what you give. So, when it came to honoring America’s service men and women, they wanted to do more than simply raise a glass. They wanted to give them something meaningful, for giving their all to protect our country and freedom. Crown Royal will be at Fall Fest with their iconic purple bags and supplies for our overseas troops. Stop by their tent to stuff a purple bag for a soldier and write them a personal note of gratitude for their service. Crown Royal will then ship the bags overseas to our troops to let them know just how much their service means to us. Crown Royal has the goal of sending 1 million purple bags overseas by the year 2020. Stop by to help them reach that goal.

There will also be plenty to do for the kids at this years Fall Fest. A dedicated space with a selection of inflatables, sand art, VR Gaming, face painting, and some super cool pumpkin painting provided by Secluded Acres Farms will be dedicated just to them. Afterwards, the kiddos can visit the Kona Ice tropical food truck and flavor their own shaved ice featuring the Flavorwave located right on the side of the Kona Ice Truck.

To get into the spirit of the crisp cool air that is right around the corner, there will also be some beautiful fall décor for sale. Secluded Acres Farms will be there with a huge selection of fall wreaths, home decorations, and more. Last year they knocked it out of the park, between the pumpkin painting for the kids and the Fall décor for the home, everyone just loved everything they offered. For many, Fall is their favorite season. With all the beautiful colors, the refreshing crisp air, and the delicious smells of pumpkin, cinnamon, and hazelnut…what’s not to love?

A fun addition to this years’ festivities will be the introduction of a Pie Eating Contests. There will be two contests, one for kids 12 and under, and one for adults. Prizes will be given away for whoever finishes first, and of course the messiest pie eater. If you or someone you know would like to get in on the pie eating contest, be sure to arrive early to sign up.

Admission is FREE for this fun day out for the entire family. For more information visit www.dinamediagroup.com or visit www.facebook.com/dinamedia/
