Brutus Fluke Tournament

This tournament, initiated in 1999 to honor the memory of Walter “the Brute” Gregory Sr, has become a yearly tradition for anglers of all ages. Tournament proceeds support both local veterans and handicapped children’s charities. The entry fee is $30 per angler and fishing may be done from boat, pier or beach. This year’s Brutus Tournament will feature $1,100 in cash prizes. Deadline for registration will be at the end of the 6:00pm Captain’s meeting on Friday, May 31st. This family fun 14 mile bicycle tour begins each year in Ventnor riding down the boardwalk through Atlantic City, a police escort through Margate and Longport, ending with a barbecue to Tomatoes’ restaurant. Bus Trip to American Ballet Theatre’s “Jane Eyre”

Beth Israel invites ballet lovers on a bus trip to see a matinee performance of Jane Eyre starring Misty Copeland, at the Metropolitan Opera House in New York. The bus will depart at 8:30am from Beth Israel in Northfield and will leave New York after the performance at or about 5pm. Tickets for available now, starting at $100, and includes the ballet, bus fare and refreshments. There is also an opportunity to purchase just the bus seats and spend the day in New York.
