HolidayGift Wrap at Hamilton Mall

Now – December 24th

From now to December 24th, our merry band of volunteers will be wrapping gifts at the Hamilton Mall. Gifts will be wrapped in exchange for donations that benefit Gilda’s Club South Jersey and The Ruth Newman Shapiro Heart & Cancer Fund. For questions, call 609-926-2699.

HolidayLight Show on the Lake

Every Thursday through Sunday Now until January 6th Historic Smithville  615 E Moss Mill Rd.

Christmas Trees made from over 50,000 Christmas lights magically float on Lake Meone in the center of Historic Smithville. The moment darkness falls, an orchestrated show of lights and music is played out across the lake. The lights dance and chase each other to the music all the while reflecting of the water’s surface. The show runs in loops of about 30 minutes, so anytime you arrive from 5:30-8:30 pm you will be able to catch the entire show.

The Alcove Center for Grieving Children and Families will be hosting their 3rd Annual Conni’s Cookies for Kidz Cookie Sale. $8 per pound. All proceeds will be going to the bereavement program at the Alcove Center. Bring the kids for pictures with Santa.

Farpoint Toys & Collectibles is partnering with the Atlantic County Toys for Kids Program to help all kids in Atlantic County have a great 2018 holiday season. Farpoint will be collecting new, unwrapped toys all season long, and if you donate this Saturday, December 15th, Farpoint will match your donation. We’re also hosting the Ultimate Ugly Sweater Contest.

Learn all you need to know about starting your journey with watercolors. Join experienced and reputable artist Steve Kuzma as he shows you the amazing things that can be accomplished with watercolor. All levels may participate. Kids are also welcome. There is a suggested $20 donation.

The Longport Historical Society is sponsoring its annual Mitten Tree at Borough Hall during the month of December. Items requested are gloves, mittens, scarves, hats and “Fun Underwear” for young children. Donations are distributed to local school nurses offices and other charitable groups.
