ARTeriors Opening Reception

Annual MLK Service at Beth Israel

Join Beth Israel for their Annual Service in Honor of Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. Erev Shabbat Service begins at 5:30pm, including the First Annual presentation of the Beth Israel Spirit of MLK Awards to area high school seniors, and a keynote speech by Atlantic City Councilman Kaleem Shabazz.

Stockton’s 19th Annual MLK Day of Service

The Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service is Stockton University’s signature Annual Day of Service, encompassing over 500 students, community members, and community projects, with upwards of 15 projects both on and off campus. Registration begins at 8:30am on the Galloway and Atlantic City campuses. Volunteers will be directed to their pre-selected projects. MLD Day of Service in Ocean City

9am-12pm

Howard S. Stainton Senior Center 1735 Simpson Ave.

Volunteers are invited to join others nationwide to honor Dr. King’s contributions. In Ocean City, citizens are asked to participate in a citywide cleanup from 9am to noon. Sign-up and supply distribution will take place at the Howard S. Stainton Senior Center.

Comfort Cooking Health & Delicious: Winter Warmth

Alzheimer’s Support Group

Tuesday, January 17th at 4pm

The group meets on the third Tuesday of each month from 4-5pm. This is an opportunity to learn about resources, find strategies for dealing with a loved one with memory loss, and meet others in similar circumstances. Mental Health Support and Discussion Groups

Online groups are offered daily for a variety of topics, including women, men, LGBTQIA+, individuals aged 18-30. Boomers, anxiety, depression, eating disorder, and many others. Groups are also provided to individuals with a family member who lives with a mental health challenge. To receive a full list and to register, call 609-652-3800 or unitedbywellness@mhanj.org.

Recovery Groups

More than a dozen groups for individuals living with substance use disorder are offered online. Topics range from mental health/wellness to employment, faith, and more. Groups are provided 7 days a week. Interested participants can register for groups through unitedbywellness@mhanj.org or by calling the Mental Health Association in Atlantic County at 609-652-3800.

Wellness Groups

A wide variety of online groups are offered to enhance wellness and introduce interested participants to ways they can improve their day-to-day mental health. These daily groups include meditation, art, music, journaling, eating healthy, exercise, spirituality, adult coloring, gratitude, and more.
