April 7th

Spring Break at Absecon Lighthouse

Thursday, April 7th – Monday, April 25th from 11am-4pm

31 S. Rhode Island Ave. Atlantic City

Looking for something fun and fit to do with the kids on Spring Break? Absecon Lighthouse, normally closed on Tuesdays & Wednesdays, will be open daily 11am-4pm for Spring Break. Go to abseconlighthouse.org and print off a special coupon for $1 off admission when you climb. The museum, grounds, and parking are all free. Dogs on leashes are welcome to tour the grounds and museum.

The goal is for fans to see amazing Horror films in the indie scene and also an opportunity to mingle with big names in horror. Somers Point Easter Egg Hunt

The City of Somers Point will host an Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 9 at JFK Park, with a rain date of Sunday, April 10. There wil be candy and prize filled eggs. The hunt is open to kids up to age 10. We encourage everyone to bring their own bag for the hunt, but the first 250 people will receive a free bag. Showboat Atlantic City is rolling out Easter Eggs for its first annual Easter Egg Hunt. Kids of all ages can have photos taken with the Easter Bunny. For an extra treat, two eggs will be filled with $50 and $100 Lucky Snake Arcade Game Tickets. 8-9am for 1-5 year-olds and 10-11am for ages 5 and up.

Online Depression and Anxiety Group

Thursdays at 10:30am & Wednesdays at 7pm

These peer-led groups are offered to individuals seeking coping strategies, mutual support, self-care, wellness/recovery. Members discuss experiences, relationships, and other related topics. Interested participants can join by Zoom or a call-in option. A daytime group meets at 10:30am on Thursdays; the evening group meets Wednesdays at 7pm. Balance and Body Image

Tuesday at 7pm

This is a peer-led support group for adults living with or recovering from disordered eating. Participants find support from peers, learn about healthy coping skills to aid recovery, and work together to improve self-worth ad self-esteem. Participants can join by call-in or online. NAMI Connection Support Group

NAMI Connection is a recovery support group for adults (18+) with a mental health condition. Participants gain the support of peers who understand their experience and gain insight into others’ challenges and successes. All programs are free of charge on Zoom. Support for Family Members

Thursday, April 14th at 10am

The Intensive Family Support Service program hosts several online support groups to assist family members of individuals living with mental illness. This meeting includes a psychoeducation component and a support group segment. The meetings are the third Thursday at 7pm; the second Thursday at 10am; and the fourth Thursday at 10am. Let’s Talk About It: A Discussion Panel on Child Sexual Abuse

The panelists are: Norah Jones, PhD, Senior Director of Outpatient Services at Jewish Family Services, Tamu Lane, CEO of The Changed Mind, and Eve Cortes, founder of Crossroad for Angels.
