If you’re looking for quick and thoroughly enjoyable round of golf while around Cape May, try giving the Cape May Par 3 and Driving Range a swing. Located just off Fulling Mill Road in Rio Grande, just minutes from Wildwood, Avalon and Cape May Courthouse, and a short drive from Ocean City, the Cape May Par 3 and Driving Range is the one-stop place to practice and play a friendly round of golf in 2 hours or less. Boasting some of the best putting greens in all of the South Jersey, the meticulously maintained all par 3 course has something for everyone of any age and playing experience. It’s a terrific choice for low handicappers to fine tune their short game. Cape May Par 3 puts the short iron, chipping and putting skills to the test. Measuring almost 2,000 yards, half the holes going better than 100 yards, and up to 150, with several shorter holes, Cape May Par 3 offers a relaxing outing for both juniors, seniors and beginners to play. It also challenges better players to test their targeting skills and distance control with all their wedges and short to medium irons.

Rick Jones is the owner and president and course superintendent of Cape May Par 3. Jones’ father, Walt Jones, who started out in the Rehoboth Beach Delaware. He built and owned Old Landing Golf Course, has been in the golf business since 1957. Rick Jones, an engineer, opened his Dover Par 3 course in Dover Delaware in July of 1991 and created the Cape May Par 3 in 2002. “Cape May Par 3 and Driving Range is the place to come to practice and play and get your golf fix while visiting the Jersey Shore,” said Jones. “ You can play a quick 18 and be on the beach all before dinner.” They are located at 29 Fulling Mill Road in Rio Grande and can be reached at 609-303-5035.
