The Custard Hut in Somers Point (a member of the Somers Point Business Association ) held a fundraiser to support the Somers Point Education Foundation. This fundraiser coincided with the last school day for Somers Point School District Students and a student art show was held at the Custard Hut at the same time, coordinated by art teacher Ginny Swift.
$1,500 was raised from the event. The funds will support activities for students in the Somers Point School District. The Somers Point Education Foundation currently funds teacher grants, technology, the music and band trip to Hershey, Pennsylvania, and the sixth-grade trip to Stokes State Forest. The Custard Hut was happy to support the Somers Point Education Foundation as part of their outreach to the community.
