The Planet’s Biggest Beach Party is in Margate June 29

Margate: BEACHSTOCK 2019 The Planet’s Biggest Beach Party, returns to the Margate Beach Saturday, June 29, 8:00 am – 10 pm. Rain date June 30. NEW is the addition of the BAGGO (Cornhole) Bag Toss Tournament.  Official rules will apply and teams can compete to win cash prizes. Spectators and guests and watch the tournament from the Colmar Home Center Chill Zone featuring comfy furniture and refreshments. Children and adults are able to participate in this fun family competition. Also NEW are free kite flying lessons and kite stunts by Air Circus Kite Shop.

The exciting Island theme this year is enhanced by a reggae band, South Pacific Island dancers, and evening Disney movie of Moana.  Over 5,000 visitors attend this annual event now in its 9th year. Children and adults can learn to limbo and hula with professional Polynesian dancers from the South Pacific Island Dancers, and enjoy Tahitian drums. NEW this year an evening performance featuring a Samoan fire knife dance.

A major feature at the ninth annual installment of this 14-hour event is non-stop music on the 100.7 WZXL main stage.  Headlining the event will be the renown reggae band Cheezy and the Crackers preforming day and evening sets. The musical line up includes country singing sensation Nikki Briar who will have event goers getting “a little bit country” with her dance lessons. USA DJ ENT. brings the party to the beach with a dynamite selection of tunes.

The all day excitement includes the Euro Bungee on the beach, volleyball and lifeguard competitions, crafters, vendors, local retailers, sand sculpting lessons with Matthew Deibert, tow at demonstrations, Stacey’s Surf & Paddle free lessons, free skin checks by Dr. Carroccia, Margate Fire Departments Cool Blast, Kid’s Treasure Hunt, Sunny Sunoco’s How to Free Your Tire From the Sand demonstration, face painting, body painting for adults, Wawa giveaways, beer and wine garden and at dusk, a bonfire and the family friendly Disney movie, Moana. The 95.1 WAYV kid’s stage features a full schedule of activities …plus a day time visit from Hula Minion.

Beach goers can enjoy delicious food like hamburgers and ice cream from Margate Dairy Bar and Burger, pizza from Bocca Coal Fired Pizza, mouthwatering seafood from PC Foods, barbecue fare from Double Eagle Saloon refreshing healthy fruit shakes from California Yogurt, award winning meatballs from Barrels Restaurant and more.

Fine artisans will be selling their crafts including RaveBandz headbands, White Lotus Boutique essential oils, local honey from Busy Bees, RD Shadez wooden framed sunglasses, Julia Max Designs and more.

Special vendors will be at Beachstock providing products and information including Colmar Home Center, Bathfitters,

Orbit Energy and Power, Heritage Surf and Sports, Larry Campbell/Balsley Losco, Atlantic County Special Services and Renewal by Anderson.

No beach tags are required for the event, which stretches between the Huntington and Granville Ave. beaches behind the Margate Public Library.

Festival goers can enjoy complimentary jitney shuttle service running 10am-10pm along Atlantic Avenue between Coolidge and Fredericksburg Avenues and the Eugene A. Tighe School. Beachstock is organized by the MBA in partnership with Margate City, 100.7 WZXL and 95.1 WAYV. Rain date is Sunday, June 30.
