Atlantic City Community Fund to Honor Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City September 20, 2022

The Atlantic City Community Fund (ACCF) will be celebrating its fifth-year anniversary with a reception at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City on September 20th.   Hard Rock Atlantic City will be this year’s honoree for their strong support of the ACCF and their philanthropic activities throughout Atlantic City.

Ben Zeltner, President of the ACCF, stated, “Hard Rock Atlantic City has set a high standard of community giving that demonstrates their true commitment to Atlantic City.”

Hard Rock Atlantic City marked its fourth anniversary this summer by making donations to four local charities, putting the casino’s total charitable donations since opening in 2018, past the $1 million mark.

“The leadership and support provided by the Seminole Tribe of Florida, Chairman & CEO Jim Allen, along with our Atlantic City partners Jack Morris, and Joe and Michael Jingoli is unrivaled,” stated Hard Rock Atlantic City President Anthony Faranca. “We continue to focus our charitable contributions on local organizations, ensuring that the residents of Atlantic City are the number one priority. I’m extremely proud to work for such an incredible company that truly embodies the core motto of “Love All, Serve All.”

Hard Rock Atlantic City hosted regular meetings with local churches and community groups leading up to its opening and they have sponsored training and apprenticeship programs for local youths and adults to help them get jobs in the casinos as well as in the building trades industry.

The annual Atlantic City Community Fund Gala will once again be held Backstage at the Hard Rock Cafe.  Lieutenant Governor Sheila Oliver and Mayor Marty Small Sr. will lead a long list of dignitaries that have supported the ACCF and will be in attendance.

The ACCF awarded a record $60,000 to twenty grantees in its efforts to strengthen to build non-profit capacity in Atlantic City.

The mission of the Atlantic City Community Fund is to foster private giving, strengthen service providers, and improve the conditions of the City of Atlantic City. To these ends, Atlantic City Community Fund (ACCF) promotes endowment building, community grantmaking, organizational collaboration, and public leadership for the benefit of all of Atlantic City’s stakeholders.

“We are so grateful to ACCF for supporting Covenant House and the unhoused youth we serve through our Atlantic City program,” stated Hilary Powell of Covenant House.  “Covenant House provides immediate shelter and care for youth aged 18-21 and offer supportive services to promote resilience so young people can transition successfully to independent living.  Our main site for shelter and services in South Jersey is located in Atlantic City.  Partnerships with caring community members like the Atlantic City Community Fund enable us to collaborate with the unhoused youth in Atlantic City so they can journey towards empowerment and achieve independence.”

Veronica Rog, of Mighty Writers stated, “We’re so grateful to the Atlantic City Community Fund for this grant. The grant will enable us to continue to provide our free programs for Atlantic City kids — something we’re especially excited about as we move into our permanent AC home at 15 N California Avenue”.

ACCF’s funding supports a variety of non-profit organizations and initiatives ranging from youth activities, anti-poverty, nutrition, social services, health & wellness, arts and culture, beautification, and education.
