- Students in Absecon will be prepared for the new school year thanks to a generous donation of school supplies and books from the local American Legion Auxiliary last week.
“We are so thankful for the thoughtful donation from our local American Legion Auxiliary Unit 28,” said Absecon Schools Supervisor of Curriculum Jessica Schwartzer. “It’s always a benefit to our students when the community can work together to help those in need.”
The donation was delivered to the school on Thursday, Sept. 1 by American Legion Auxiliary Unit 28 Treasurer Mary Ann Philippi and Sergeant at Arms Dotty Hassall.
The supplies will be provided to students in need through the school’s guidance office.
