A Tribute To Anthony Nicholas Giardina 1928-2019

You may remember Anthony as “Tony the Barber”. He was also known as Nino to many. He was born in Ducktown, Atlantic City and later resided in Ventnor City and then Egg Harbor Township .

Tony was the owner and operator of Jackson Barber Shop in Atlantic City, New Jersey for over 40 years. Cutting and Shingling with the unique preciseness as only he could do, set him on the map for being the best barber in the Atlantic City area.

Tony sent celebrities on their way with style and the finest haircut in South Jersey! Keeping up with the times he went on to certify hairstyling classes with Vidal Sassoon.

He was the president of the Master Barbers Association, and honorary member of The Knights of Columbus 405 3rd degree .

His ever side splitting humor and jokes created laughter that could be heard every time you sat in the big green Barber chair. His customers would become his friends for a lifetime. He was loved and will be remembered fondly by everyone who met him .

This was my father. I will remember him for his dignity, his integrity and his honesty, for his kindness and outgoing personality, and for his commitment to family. I was proud to be called his daughter. He made me the woman that I am today by teaching me to be who I am and to love myself and others with compassion. And with these  life lessons he taught  me never to give up on my dreams.

So daddy , I am living my dreams. Thank you for the gift of being your daughter and walking the journey of building unforgettable memories. .~ Nancy Adler
