The Ocean City Baby Parade returned to the Boardwalk for the 110th time Thursday, August 8, 2019.

The annual tradition offers a chance for parents to show off Ocean City’s newest generation. The parade features children (ages 10 and under) cruising the Ocean City Boardwalk in themed strollers, wagons and floats.

Marching bands from Pitman High School and Wildwood High School participated, along with the Ed Coles Band and Fred Hall. The Give and Take Jugglers performed inside the Ocean City Music Pier after the parade.  Other highlights of the parade included the OCTC Spotlight Performers Show Choir, the cast of “Newsies,” Martin Z. and Mollie Mollusk, Queen Infanta 2019 Emma Rodriguez, the Ocean City Yacht Club, and more.

Sky Brown, an 11-year-old skateboarding sensation with an international following, was the grand marshal of the parade.

Brown is a professional skateboarder and surfer from Miyazaki, Japan. With a Japanese mother and a British father, she chose to compete for Team Great Britain in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, making her the youngest athlete to compete there. She also will be Great Britain’s youngest Summer Olympian ever, and the youngest Olympic athlete since 1936.
