A Centennial Birthday Celebration

Pauline Puccio of Atlantic City celebrated her 100th birthday recently with a parade  complete with fire trucks and a police escort, along with a visit from Mayor Marty Small. Born in Philadelphia, Pauline moved to Atlantic City 25 years ago.

At 100 years old now, she stills lives independently and enjoys crocheting, cooking home made pasta and shooting craps. What’s her secret to longevity? “A glass of wine every night, playing the lottery, bingo and doing puzzles,” said her daughter.

Puccio was the youngest of ten and has no surviving siblings. However, she has two daughters, Elaine Trulli of Ventnor and Maria Alvino of Absecon, a granddaughter, Nicole Barbella and three great grandsons, Dominic, Rocco and Angelo Barbella. All came out to celebrate her centennial birthday.
