Margate City, NJ: The Margate Business Association’s 19TH Annual Wine Tasting will be held outdoors at the recreation complex on Edgmar Circle, Friday night July 29 from 6pm-9:00pm.  This bucolic setting will enhance an unforgettable evening of wine and spirit tastings, a silent and live auction, mouthwatering hors d’oeuvres and sweets, and electrifying live entertainment by the pop, rock cover band Usual Suspects.  Tickets are $75 per person and can be purchased at MBAWINE or at margatehasmore.com.

The event will showcase pallet pleasing fare from Bocca, Dino’s Subs and Pizza, The Little Sicilian and TacocaT with sweet treats provided by Jagielky’s Homemade Candy

Over 430 guests attended last year’s event, the outdoor setting being so popular that the event committee decided to hold it again at Edgmar Circle Recreation Field. In addition to the fine sampling and auction items offered guests enjoyed recreational cornhole, ping pong, chess and checker games.

This year’s auction will feature Phillies baseball tickets, surf donated by Heritage Surf and Sport, Margate Bridge passes donated by Downbeach Express, gift baskets, exercise bike donated by AAAA Bike Shop, two – three day passes to Tidal Wave Music Festival an Atlantic City Beach Concert featuring over 30 artists including Luke Bryan and  Morgan Wallen donated by 95.1 WAYV, plus transportation donated by Hindelang Car Service and much much more. The live auction is hosted by local celebrity Lou Solomon and Diane Mitchell from the “Mike & Diane Morning Show” on 95.1 WAYV. The Wine Tasting Committee is co-chaired by Paula Hartman and Dana Hartman-Hiltner.

Auction items are generously donated by businesses and individuals throughout the community. Guests who would like to check out all of the great auction items and bid in advance can go to MBAWINE.

“The MBA wine tasting is such an amazing event that everyone looks forward to year after year,’ said Dana Hartman Hiltner. “The new outdoor location at Edgmar Circle has allowed the event to grow and be more successful than ever before. We look forward to another great night!”

A portion of the proceeds benefits the Margate Business Association’s Daniel and Maria Walters Scholarship Program which has awarded over $120,000 in scholarships since its inception.  The scholarships are awarded to high school seniors who have attended Margate City schools and are continuing their education.  The event also supports the MBA’S Children Fund in conjunction with the Margate schools which anonymously provides warm clothing, school supplies, food, eye glasses, summer camp for latch key children, toys and more for local children.
