Skyrocketing to popularity in the 1970s, the Disco sound ascended out of Manhattan’s discotheque scene, combining pop, funk, R&B, synthesizers with powerhouse singers to create the dance soundtrack for a generation.
In 2023, guests will have a chance to see and hear for themselves what made Disco so special as Resorts Casino Hotel Atlantic City presents Disco Inferno. From June 25th through October 29th, performances will take place each Sunday in The Superstar Theater at 8:00pm. The tribute features an accomplished cast of singers, dancers and musicians, eye-catching costumes, and stunning choreography from the Disco era.
Tickets for Disco Inferno are $39 and $29 and are on sale now via ticketmaster.com.
“Disco Inferno is a highly entertaining theatrical presentation that ignites images and remembrances of a dance floor musical era gone by, when the music, lyrics, and driving beats electrified a generation,” said producer Allen Valentine. Featuring the music of The Bee Gees, Donna Summer, Michael Jackson, Gloria Gaynor, KC and the Sunshine Band, Anita Ward, ABBA, Barry White, plus many more, Disco Inferno will transport those who witnessed it, back to the moment when they first heard these songs on the dance floor of their popular discotheques. Disco Inferno is produced by Allen Valentine. Jillian Reed choreographed the show and Linda Voermans is the production manager. The musical director is Arland Gilliam. Costume design by Kristine Valentine.
