Somers Point, NJ – The Somers Point Arts Commission is presenting a free, four-session course for adults, 18 years and older, who want to learn what makes Japanese short form poetry unique. These classes will also demonstrate how to write and read Japanese short form poetry, including Haiku, Senryu, Tanka and Haibun. Students will learn the basics of the form and how to create poetry with profound simplicity. They will be taught by Somers Point’s Poet Laureate, Erin Castaldi.
