Tickets for three special Ocean City shows this summer will go on sale starting at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 5.
Judy Collins will join the Ocean City Pops at the Ocean City Music Pier on Sunday, August 6. Jackie Evancho will perform with the Pops at the Music Pier on Sunday, August 27. The Pops and the Ocean City Theatre Company will team up to present eight performances of “The Wizard of Oz” from August 1 to 10 at the Bill and Nancy Hughes Performing Arts Center at Ocean City High School.

Inspired by artists such as Woody Guthrie and Pete Seeger, singer-songwriter Judy Collins hit stardom in 1967 after her cover of Joni Mitchell’s ‘Both Sides, Now’ gained international recognition. The single peak at No. 8 on the Billboard charts, and Collins won her first Grammy for Best Folk Performance as a result. She then released singles such as ‘Someday Soon’ and ‘Turn! Turn! Jackie Evancho first dazzled American television audiences in 2010 at the age of 10 with her stunning debut on NBC’s “America’s Got Talent.” Since then, she has released a string of platinum and gold albums with sales of over 2.5 million in the U.S. All six of Jackie’s albums have hit No. 1 on the Billboard Classical chart. The Ocean City Pops and the Ocean City Theatre Company will present a delightful stage adaptation of L. Frank Baum’s beloved “Wizard of Oz,” featuring the iconic musical score from the MGM film.
