Seashore Gardens Living Center Golden Sunflowers make raffia baskets

Residents in Seashore Gardens Living Center’s Golden Sunflowers group enjoyed an afternoon learning about raffia palms and making colorful baskets. They recited nursery rhymes about baskets as they made their own miniature ones.

Golden Sunflowers is a therapeutic gardening group that meets regularly at SGLC. The benefits of therapeutic horticulture are numerous and include social interaction, improving motor skills, elevating mood, reducing agitation, and improving self-esteem.
