‘Rained out’ Golf Tournament Raises $9,000+ for Seashore Gardens Foundation

Rainy weather didn’t put a damper on the seventh annual Seashore Gardens Foundation Golf Tournament, as supporters and volunteers rallied for the cause, raising more than $9,000 for the programs and services to enrich elder lives.

Golfers received a voucher to play at a future date at Harbor Pines Golf Club. The Ikebana flower arranging class was moved to the Boardwalk at Seashore Gardens Living Center, giving residents a chance to participate as well. The gift baskets were raffled off at the Home. Proceeds from the event will be used for programs to enrich elder lives, including the horticultural, music and memory, and art programs at Seashore Gardens Living Center.

The Seashore Gardens Foundation Golf Tournament was presented by David Lieberman Insurance. Event co-chairs Jason Goldstein, David Lieberman, and Rich Cohen led the committee of dedicated volunteers, including Howard Bernstein, Shirley Labov Bernstein, Sharon D’Angio, Martin H. Klein, Ethel Frank Levinson, Erin Luurtsema, Michael Stark, and Fran Streeper.
